Some Stories Belong To A Place, Not A Frame. We Tell Them At Full Scale.

POW creates projection-led cultural experiences for museums, heritage sites, festivals, councils and cultural institutions – putting the stories of people and places where everyone can see them, on the landmarks and landscapes that hold the history.

Stories told where they happened

There is a power in telling a story on the building where it belongs – history projected onto the walls that witnessed it, a community’s identity reflected on its own landmarks. Projection lets culture be experienced where it lives: free, public, outdoors and open to everyone who happens to be passing.

That public-first instinct runs through everything POW makes. We came up working in shared spaces, earning attention in the street for the causes with small budgets and big goals – where the only way to be seen was to be impossible to ignore. Cultural work asks for the same thing: a story strong enough to stop people who didn’t come looking for it. We bring that same energy to cultural commissions.

FAQ

Can you project onto listed and heritage buildings?

Usually, yes. Projection is non-invasive – nothing touches or fixes to the fabric of the building, which is why heritage bodies often prefer it to any physical installation. Each site has its own consent route, and we manage that process with the relevant authorities as standard.

Do you work with public-sector and grant-funded budgets?

Yes. We regularly scope work for councils, institutions and funded programmes, and we’re experienced in shaping ambition to fixed budgets. Tell us the figure and we’ll tell you honestly what it can achieve.

Have a story, a site or an anniversary coming?

The best cultural commissions start early. Tell us what you’re marking, and we’ll bring the ideas
